Whitney was the first brood bitch for Mona Riedl (Kennel “Deacon Brodie’s”) and lived with her until Mona’s death in 2012. Then she came to us, together with the other dogs of Mona - while she knew us already very well from show trips and many stays with us and at our house.
Mona Riedl bought her because she was the first and unique opportunity for her to fulfill her dream of owning a dig from the Anstamm blood line. That’s because her father was bred from the two Anstamm imports in our kennel, Anstamm Aftershock and Anstamm Animation.
While she did not fully represent the Anstamm type (mainly her head was different), she was yet very successful during her active show period. She gained a number of prestigious titles - even though she was shown very limited. This because her lovely and laid-back temperament wasn’t really helpful in the show ring.
Only as a veteran, she made a significant change and started to love shows. With significat success: at her first show as a veteran, she was BIS-3 Veteran at the internnational all-breed show in Nuremberg and with two more shows she became double German Veteran Champion!
On the other hand, she really paid back on her ancestors in the whelping box. Especially her first daughter “News” looked very much like Anstamm and all puppies from her second litter (after Charlie), including our “Cindy” were pretty much the same. In this way, Whitney helped Mona to make her dream come true.
